A Home for Adults

New Broadview Manor Home For Adults offers independent living in a 200-bed facility licensed by the New York State Department of Health but privately owned and operated. The facility is located in the quiet, residential South Beach section of Staten Island in the shadow of the Verrazano Bridge and one block from the ocean and boardwalk.

We are dedicated to our residents’ comfort, well being and quality of life. Our goal is to provide individual care to residents while ensuring they maintain their proper level of independence. We cater mainly to a geriatric population and services are provided with dignity and respect and are available to all residents regardless of race, creed, disability or national origin.

Recreational Program

Helping residents feel at home in a safe, supportive living environment is just part of the New Broadview Manor experience. Our residents also enjoy recreational activities, like movies three nights a week, Sunday matinees, arts and crafts, trivia, board and card games, pokeno and more. We throw monthly birthday parties and celebrate all the major Holidays with dancing to a DJ or live entertainment. Our Summer Carnival and Luau are always big hits, and we enjoy everything from horse racing to jewelry making, Bingo and Dancercise to manicures and Health Talk.

Shortly after you move in, you’ll receive an invitation to “New residents welcome party” which is held quarterly and gives new residents the opportunity to meet new people and discuss with our Recreation Director their likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests. Not only do our residents get into our sing-alongs, many also join the New Broadview Manor Chorus! An easy-going yet healthy fun filled lifestyle with complete independence awaits!

Resident Council

Every Month, our Residents Council meets to discuss resident issues, quality of life concerns and improvements to our community. They form committees like a “Welcome Committee” “Sunshine Club” “Trip Committee” “Food Committee” and more. The Council has elections for President, Secretary and Sergeant At Arms. The Secretary takes minutes at each meeting and the President submits them to management and receives a response, which is read at next meeting. Resident Council is run by residents, for residents with the assistance from management readily available.
